Groups

There are many different groups of people who would use a photocopier on a daily basis for example; students, teachers, office workers and business owners or marketers. As students enter the world of high school until they finish studying they constantly use a photocopier to print or copy assignments and information, which they need when studying. Teachers use the photocopier technology to print out papers from the Internet and even to make numerous of copies for their entire students. Office workers and businesses owners or markets use the photocopier all for the same reason, which is to print or make copies of papers, which they need for their business. A business marketer may need to make a number of copies at once to advertise for its company. The photocopier has helped a wide range of groups to print, scan or make copies of a document in less then minutes.

Related Technology

Up until later 1950’s photocopiers were only black and white until coloured toners were available but not to commercial photocopiers.However full colour copiers became available when the company “3M” release the Color-in-Color copier in 1968.
Since the developments of digital technology, photocopiers in recent years have embraced this and used it in their machines. These developments have led to a “multifunction printer” which now not only consists of photocopying but also scanning and laser printing. More also, photocopiers for offices have now also incorporated the fax machine within it.

Issues

One of the few and main issues that come with the photocopying machine is money. Even though buying a multifunctional photocopier now a days is cheap , there is still the cost of buying the ink that is used to print out documents and also the price it may take to fix the machine if anything were to happen to it.The other issue would be learning how to use the machine. When first investing in such a technological machine it is hard to figure out how to function it with all the buttons that would appear it on. However as consumers read the instructions given they learn to use the photocopier, which ends up helping them in a major way.

Empower

When purchasing the photocopier, it empowers men and women to bring their family or workers together.
Bringing the photocopier into the workplace helps meet the wellbeing of the workers.  When a photocopier is used in the working environment, there are risk control measures that have been put in by the government to meet the physical needs of the people of the same environment such as photocopiers having to be installed in a proper ventilated area. It also helps meet their economic wellbeing as investing in such technology it helps saves time, money and resources that would initially been used to get documents copied. It is also similar when the technology if brought to a household, as it would not harm their economic wellbeing as it saves them money in the long run since students living in that household wouldn’t have to pay to use library facilities. It also inevitably helps with their social wellbeing as it creates more time for the entire family to spend together and amongst friends.
